Reporting Procedures
Loss Reporting: All new losses should be reported directly to the appropriate company by phone or either by faxing a copy of the Acord loss notice or First Report of Injury. A copy of the loss notice should also be faxed or mailed to IMU.
The loss notices must be complete with all available information. All claims should be reported regardless of facts or severity. Never refuse to accept a claim reported against a policy. This includes reports generated by claimants or their attorneys.
